“She came in,and the costume lady[nancy mcardle] on ‘annie hall’ said,’tell her not wear that.she can’t wear that.it’s so crazy.’ and i said “leave her. she’s a genius. let’s just leave her alone and let her wear what she wants.”

waxmeltstrees SAID: Candy vs. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind?
Annie Hall vs. 500 Days of Summer?
American Beauty vs. Fight Club?

1. ETERNAL SUNSHINE. Candy was really good, but it in no way reaches the genius displayed so perfectly in Eternal Sunshine.

2. ANNIE HALL. It’s a classic for a reason. Woody Allen is a brilliant man. Diane Keaton is flawless. Also, I’m not one of those people who things 500 Days of Summer is amazing. The only movie I liked Zooey in was Almost Famous. I really didn’t like her performance in this. JGL was great and I loved how they jumped around in time, I loved the expectations/reality scene. It was better than most like it and I enjoy it a lot but not mind blowing.

3. I don’t mean to hate on Fight Club again cause I do LOVE it but American Beauty wins. I need to watch that again, I haven’t in like 2 years, but it’s one of those movies about life, and how short it is, how fleeting every moment is and how impossible anything is to hold onto. Those are the movies that get me above all and this one is perfectly executed.
