I really, really enjoyed this movie. To me, it was the perfect mix of drama and comedy and those movies are always my favorite. It made me uncontrollably laugh at one point which almost never happens to me when I watch movies. I think a lot of things are funny but I rarely crack up out loud. The performances were great, but I have to mention Ed Helms specifically blew me away. My only problems were I don’t really like the camera work and I wish it was a bit longer. However, that doesn’t matter, this is still a great film. Watch it.
The Descendants (2011).
I finally saw this on Tuesday. I liked it, did not LOVE it. I think because I am such a huge Alexander Payne fan, I went in with pre-conceived notions and too-high expectations. It’s still very much a worthwhile film. Clooney was fantastic as usual, but I especially enjoyed the incredible supporting performances by Matthew Lillard and Judy Greer.

Anonymous SAID: OOoh I saw this new trailer called "Peep World" starring Sarah SIlverman, Michael C. Hall, and Rainn Wilson! It looks so cool. Did you see the trailer?
Just watched it! Thank you for bringing it to my attention. When I saw the name “Michael C. Hall” that was all I needed to hold my interest, but then I also saw Judy Greer in the trailer who I LOVE!! The entire cast looks great actually. I hope this isn’t one of those “much ado about nothing” indies that just ends up being really empty.

It’s not like we kill people… on purpose.
oh and p.s. Judy Greer is one of the most underrated actresses of all time. She can usually be found playing second or third fiddle to some huge star in whatever romantic comedy is hot at the moment, and it’s kind of a shame.
