LOL I love that these are the kinds of questions I get. I thought it was ScorSAYzee for years, but he says it ScorSAYSe, so that’s how I say it now, though he claims saying it either way is fine.
Edit: To the person who says the two I listed sound the same, watch this video: http://youtu.be/O83zgAOUxP0 The way Conan introduces him is the correct way.

Well of course there would be Annie Hall. Run! Go! Watch immediately! It is widely considered to be Allen’s best film and one of the best movies ever made.
My favorite Allen films are the ones in which he stars in as well as writing/directing, so I would say look that up on IMDb and check out some of the plot summaries and pick something. If I’m being honest, pick something from the 70’s, 80’s, or 90’s with him in it and go from there. No one performs his words as well as he does, and there are very few people who can make me laugh like that. He has to have some of the best delivery and timing in history, it’s just insane. Vicky, Midnight In Paris, and Whatever Works are three of my favorite Allen films, though, and he isn’t in them, so I guess my answer to your question is to just watch every movie he’s ever made. LOL. I just can’t do a Top 5. A Top 10 would be easier… but still!
I haven’t seen many of his earlier works but I will eventually, so hopefully someone can shed light on those. I understand that they were more focused on comedy than plot, and have tons of sight gags and things like that, which is perfect for me because I live for that stuff, so I can’t wait.
What are your favorite Woody Allen movies?
I am! Been waiting for a good excuse (like I even need one) to have a good ol’ Woody Allen marathon weekend. Started with Hannah and Her Sisters last night and Manhattan this morning. About to move onto Manhattan Murder Mystery. I ALSO HAVE PIZZA.
I hope all of you can ride out the storm safely! I’m in Central NJ where apparently we don’t have much to worry about (now that I’ve said that, my house will probably be destroyed in the next 45 minutes). My family down the shore has safely evacuated, and my family in NC is luckily visiting my cousin in Missouri, so I’m relieved everyone is safe and sound.
Ok guys, stay safe and expect many Woody Allen-related posts! Oh, and I got quite a few new followers from my posts on The Rum Diary, so welcome everyone!
